These are some photos of a trip to the Morne Anglais repeater site (Main site).
Brian Lloyd (WB6RQN/J79BPL) came to Dominica with a significant donation of amateur radio equipment with the intention of hardening our repeater network and as a result making it more dependable and reliable to survive stormy weather.
In the pictures you see the installation of a Nema 4 enclosure that is housing both vhf and uhf repeaters including the uhf duplexer and repeater controller.
All points of entry are now protected with lightening arrestors. Brian not only donated the equipment but also climbed to the mountain top to oversee the installation. Other participants were Clement Pierre Louis J73CPL (President of the DARCI), Joseph Raymond J73RJ (Vice President). Conrad Jederon J73CAJ (Field Day operations), Glensworth Mason J73GM and Clement James J73CI (Operations and Maintenance).
The Crew thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The installation went well and all got down safe!
Thanks to everyone for a job well done and especially Brian for his donation and help.
